NMA names Ed Bowling as CTO

LAS VEGAS, NV – National Merchants Association is proud to announce the appointment of Ed Bowling to Chief Technical Officer.

Bowling has more than 20 years of experience in IT management and systems administration. His work history includes companies such as Zodiac Inflight Innovations, Technijian, Soho Network Services and CyberZon. He is certified in AWS as a Cloud Practitioner and Associate
SysOps Administrator, and also has a Unix certification. Initially hired by NMA in 2016, Ed Bowling started as a Systems Administrator. During his time at NMA, he has played a key role in establishing the company’s scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure and is also credited with leading NMA’s ongoing PCI-DSS certifications. Bowling says the company’s strong culture and commitment to building leaders, including his own professional growth, have made staying innovative and agile a priority.

In his role as CTO, Bowling will work to ensure Merchant Advocacy and Customer Service are key drivers in NMA’s FinTech future. Bowling plans to develop and improve on the company’s security-minded culture while building the infrastructure to increase the speed and agility of its operations. He also will focus on expanding the company’s cloud presence as more transactions shift to the IAAS/PAAS digital spheres.

In his spare time, Ed enjoys staying informed on cybersecurity trends, spending time with family, woodworking and saltwater fishing.
