A recent article about Apple Pay brought up a major issue with the near field communication (NFC) based technology: major corporations are not training their employees to use Apple Pay.

Consumers are attempting to use Apple Pay to conduct electronic transactions, and the cashiers’ reactions to this new technology range from confusion to encouragement of cash and credit instead of Apple Pay.

Various online peer forums are instructing iPhone 6 users to ignore the cashiers and conduct the transactions themselves, to avoid complicated interactions with employees who are in the dark about the new technology.

What are your thoughts on this Apple Pay issue? Will you use credit and debit cards at locations with employees who aren’t trained how to use Apple Pay?
