National Merchants Association’s Global Expansion Continues Into Australia

Explosive International Growth Propels Merchant Services Leader Onto Second Continent

San Diego, Calif. and Sydney, Australia – May 29, 2013 – National Merchants Association, the leading provider of high risk merchant services accounts, opens its newest international headquarters, in Sydney, Australia, today. Heather Petersen, the newly appointed managing director of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), will lead the company’s second overseas hub and establish a full-scale Subsidiary of National Merchants Association, called Australian Electronic Transactions (AET).

Since it’s California expansion office was founded in 2009, National Merchants Association has seen an explosion of growth outside the U.S., with the eCommerce merchant base growing more than 75% in the first half of 2013. With ongoing successes in the U.S. and abroad, National Merchants Association aims to catalyze the higher risk merchant services space with the additional brand into a region that has yearned for merchants’ sales and eCommerce gateway technology.

National Merchants Association is one of the first international merchant processors to plant roots in ANZ, a region increasingly developing ever-more sophisticated marketing strategies through the stable and flourishing economy. National Merchants Association already facilitates thousands of transactions via a number of merchants in ANZ, thanks to a strategic gateway partnership.

“National Merchants Association’s deep, no-holds-barred commitment to ANZ means our customers and partners will reap the benefits from attentive and dedicated local personnel who understand the nuances of this market and the unique needs of ANZ and high risk merchants,” said Petersen. “In this highly competitive merchant services industry, we go the extra mile for our merchant and this expansion will allow us to assist more eCommerce marketers and provide them with options once thought unattainable. Ultimately, the Australian market opens the doors to additional revenues, not just for our company, but for each and every one of our merchants.”

The ANZ international expansion is only the first phase for the rapidly developing National Merchants Association organization. An additional international headquarters servicing the European market will open in Paris later this year.
